Not at all! all you need to start with is a hutch/cage that's big enough for them to run about in, a water bottle, a constant supply of hay, a bowl of pellet food (the pot bowls are better as they cant push them over) & some toys(empty toilet rolls would do). You should then give them some veg or fruit everyday and make sure that they have at least 2 hours time out of the cage/hutch playing about to keep them happy and healthy, and clean out the cage once a week.

Rabbits are excellent pets. They do not bark, crow or climb the curtains. They are very loving and cuddly. They are easy to housebreak and do well in a cage also. They require feed (pellets) and clean water daily. You do have to be easy and gentle with them until they get used to you. AND you have to clean up there droppings just like any other pet.

I would say yess guinea pigs are hard to care for... and it takes alot of time ,money, and effort to care for them right they need a BIG cage not a little bitty one from petsmart or petco! i would recommend a c&c cage and if you dont have money or the time it takes a day to care for them i wouldent reccomend getting a guine pig or a bunny for more info u can look up on Google how to car for a guinea pig or guinea pig cages.com

It all depends on what type of guinea pig you are talking about or how much time you are willing to spend on the guinea pig. If you are willing to spend lots of time and you are prepared to clean its cage daily, give it a bath once a month, clip its nails on a regular basis, exercise it each and every day, make sure it gets socialized (so it will be use to people around it.), and have time to play with it.

If you think that's all exactly the limit you were looking for then its the right animal for you and if you think that's too much then the only animal good for you would be a fish because news flash animals need to be pampered and its not all fun and games.

NO! Guinea pigs are very high maitenance. They need a cup of romaine lettuce daily and a half a cup of fruits and veggies daily. They also need a minimum of 7.5 feet of cage and you need to buy at least 2 guinea pigs or the one can become very lonely and depressed.
