Yes the human is at the top of the food chain. However this is when we are in our own element. Once we enter into the ocean as a swimmer then we become a lower part of another animals food chain. The same is true when we are in the wilderness without any weapons except that we (some) have a better ability to reason and can fashion weapons to keep us from the bottom of the wild food chain. My friend won't swim in the ocean because he says that he is no longer at the top of the food chain once he enters the water. This sounds right to me.
