yes it is because mast older Texans have had them for a pet and they have supprisingly good personallity. it is illigle to own one also. And they like highways becaus they retain enough heat for their pleasure but because their natural instinct is to freeze when they see movement or are afraid they squirt blood out of their eyes at the tire then they become a greasy spot an the road all over. also pesticides. if they do surrvive the pesticide themselves theer natural food black ants are dead so they either cant eat or try to eat fire ants and those team up on them and kill them. so its all our fault that horny toads are on the exticnt list.
