Is it good for pets to be in school?

Yes because they calm you down and that you also do good in school.I have a friend and her mom brought her dog to vist us. she was very calm and enjoy the attention.Everybody was happy but people kept following us around and wont leave the dog alone but it was fun.

No, not really. Dogs at school would serve as a distraction for the class, and some dogs will naturally become very excitable or nervous around a large group of loud children. An excited or nervous dog could accidentally hurt a child, and such a risk for the school could end in a law suit, as they are responsible for a child's care and safety.

For the dog's perspective, a school environment isn't particularly safe, either. There is a risk of a child, deliberately or accidentally, hurting the dog or winding it up. There are no safe and quiet zones the dog can go when it has had enough attention and petting - even the most patient dog will most likely need "time out" during the day.

Dogs should only be allowed in schools if they are registered service dogs. The school would need to make accommodations for other children's phobias and Allergies which would make it impractical for all dogs to be allowed.
