It is true that humans are one species of animal. Everyone has their own individual DNA, so they are all unique. However, since we are all the same species, we basically look alike from the get-go. There are going to be many examples of people looking enough like each other that they could be siblings, even if they are not related.

∙ 12y agoIt's not necessarily a "myth", but it certainly isn't a rigorously determined scientific fact either.
There are, undoubtedly, some number of people in the world that resemble you to a greater or lesser extent, either because you're fairly closely related to them (I know that I look quite a bit like one of my great-great-great grandfathers, for example, because I've seen a daguerrotype of him) or just out of random chance.
That it's precisely seven is ridiculous, and unless you are pretty closely related (identical twins, or perhaps "identical cousins" a la Patty Duke) they probably don't resemble you closely enough to fool your close friends.
