Is it ok to house to female guinea pigs together because i have a girl guinea pig named Gizmo because my male just died. my mom said i could get another female soon. should i get her right away HELP?

I think you should get another female because you don't want UNWANTED LITTERS!! Female and female would be less likely to fight. Male and male would be most likely to fight. IF you get female and male, just make sure one of them is spayed or neutered.I don't approve of breeding guinea pigs because it is very hard to find them good homes. Most end up being put down in shelters. YOUR CHOICE

Actually rabbits an guinea pigs are fine together. But maybe the female guinea pig is felling lonely being the only kind in the cage. Or maybe its because the rabbit just doesn't like the guinea pig. If it's possible you can try getting another female guinea pig or separating the the guinea pig and rabbits.

If you have had a boy guinea pig for about a week and want to get him a friend, unless you want to have babies, get another boy guinea pig but keep them in separate cages unless you are monitoring them because boys will fight. If you want to have babies and you have one guinea pig, don't put them in together right on the spot because the boy guinea pig may get very aggressive with the girl to a very dangerous and tragic point. Keep their cages close together and once a week, hold them both in your lap (together) and pet them with the same perfume. If you do this, they will see that they have something in common. After about a month, put them together. if they look like they are in a dangerous situation, separate them again and do the same thing for another month.
