Well...... I have a rabit and a guinea pig and they both love each other but you have to put them together at a very young age (ask local pet shop on what to do there). Is can be ok and in another way it is not ok becasue when it's not ok rabbits some times have a dessese that is in their lungs and it can not afect the rabbit or other rabbits but if can affect the guinea pig and can cause illness and could die. In the other hands you can put them together because some people say (there ment to be together) and some rabbits dont have that dessese............ But you could be like me and risk it.......If you do put them together I would cheek on them mabey 3 times a day.......Hope this works!!! Don't be irresponsible pet owners.
Well I guess you can... but I think the Guineapig would rather have a real animal, and one of its own kind.
I, as a vetrinarian, recommend that you buy another guineapig and put that in the cage with it. However, if you cannot afford it, I would probably stick with the rabbits fur.
Hope I have helped you, today! (:
Have a good day.
Sincerely,
An animal-obsessed Vet (:
guinea pigs dont fart, they have no way to remove air from their bodies.
No it isn't ok. Guinea PIg food is made for Guinea Pigs. Your Cavy will get sick if they do eat hamser food.
they will be ok out side but you may want to get an adult to keep it company and something to keep them warm
Well guinea pigs ears are sensitives so you might like to ask a vet. Because vets know allot about animals. Also guinea pig are pets not humans.
NO guinea pigs should not be housed with any other animals except for their own kind. It would most likely end in one (most likely the guinea pig since they are more docile) being seriously injured or killed. Goddesskieryn: The two animals have seriously different habitat and food needs. While the guinea pig needs extra vitamin C in its diet, that much sugar would be bad for the rats. Not to mention that guinea pigs have rather bad eye sight, and rats being very good climbers need many levels in their cages. Guinea pigs living with multiple levels and bad eyesight equals a falling piggy. If they fall from say a third level they could be seriously injured. Also guinea pigs need long open spaces to run and play, i believe the rule of thumb is something like 7.5ft of space for up to 2 pigs.
all that i know i that bunnies are ok to put with guinea pigs
You can feed them both guinea pig food. Don't feed the guinea pig the rabbit food or it will be sick. Rabbits are ok on guinea pig food.
No. It is not ok to have them in the same cage, as rabbits have very strong legs, and can very easily kick a guinea pig and kill it.
It is best that guinea pigs are kept with other guinea pigs rather than rabbits as rabbits do not speak "cavy" and guinea pigs like to have others of their own species to talk to. Rabbits tend to spray, and guinea pigs are animals that like to be clean and as hygienic as possible. They also cant share food, as rabbit food contains an anti-coccidostat (ACS) which will shorten a guinea pigs lifespan by poisoning it's internal organs. Although they would probably be OK together, it will be better for the guinea pig if they are kept apart- having said that, there are cases of rabbits and guinea pigs getting on very well and living happily together. It depends on how the guinea pig and the rabbit get on. Hope this was helpful :)
Yes, they can do ok with dogs. The hard part is making sure the dogs do not want to eat the piggy. You should introduce a piggy carefully to a dog. This way the piggy will not be frightened or hurt.
yes if you are lonely
no Although some books etc say they are ok together, I think it's a bad idea coz rabbits can kick and injure/bully Guinea-Pigs in other ways.
As long as no chemicals have been put on the grass :) they absolutely love it!
Yes, tomatoes are great for guinea pigs.
it is ok as long as you rinse it off as soon as the bleeding is stopped.
If u have no guinea pig food left it is ok to give ur guinea pigs some weetabix dry. It is ok for them to eat because it is weat and that is good for them!
