No, two different species of animal cannot cross breed. The sperm from one animal cannot successfully fertilize the egg of another species.

There is one exception know of, a horse and the donkey breeding to make a mule, but the flaw is, two mules can't produce offspring. To produce another mule, you must breed a horse and a donkey again.

Advances in cell Biology have opened the door to the possibility of organisms breeding from different species, though.

Hope this helps!

By the way, I used my Science textbook Cells, Tissues, Organs and Systems to help me. (I just finished that Unit!)

What is the term for a natural genetic cross between different breeds?

Well, for example say the father was a labrador and the mother was a Poodle the puppy would turn out a labradoodle which is a cross between a labrador and a poodle. So if you buy one breed of dog and another breed of dog when they mate you should have a cross between the kinds of breeds that you chose to be the mother and the father. Hope this helps!

How do you breed a purple carrot?

To breed purple carrots, you can cross-pollinate two varieties of carrots with purple pigment traits in their genetics. Select the best parent plants for their purple color, and make sure to isolate them from different carrot varieties to avoid accidental cross-pollination. By carefully managing the breeding process over several generations, you can increase the likelihood of producing purple carrots.
