For a day or two, but not in the long run. They need to be fed (and it's not only hay)and watered each day, preferably groomed as well. Their hooves needs to be cleaned daily and trimmed/shod regularly. Their teeth needs to be looked after as well. They can get sick from overeating, from bad feed and from just about anything. Then there's deworming and a bunch of other chores.
Yes. Horses are hard to care for. It takes time, money, space to own a horse, money, you have to be knowledgeable about them, money, and lots and lots of hard work.
P.S. Did I mention money?
It is not necessarily hard to look after a horse, but it takes a LOT of hard work. Horses need to be fed at least twice a day as well as have plenty of forage (grass or hay) available throughout the day. They must also be regularly groomed and bathed, have their feet trimmed or reshod regularly and get plenty of exercise. If you cannot ride or work your horse every day or every few days, or ensure that someone else does, then they MUST be turned out in a pasture or paddock of some sort. You have to get up early, every day, to own a horse. You may want to sleep in, but your horse needs you! The only exception to this rule is if you are boarding your horse somewhere that feeds it for you.
Horses are quite costly as you need to pay for a farrier, a vet, an equine dentist en thand theres the caring essentials like feed, tack and grooming equipment. Also, if you board your horse at a local stable, you will have to pay for that too.
it can be diffcult and very expensive but it is defiantly worth it you need to make sure your not away for long periods of time if you are going to keep it in your back garden because they need regular exercise but if you keep them at a stable there is often a stable hand that will be able to help you keep and look after your horse by taking it for runs cleaning it feeding it etc
yes. although some would rather be lazy, though, just like people.
they are expensive and needy but worth while xxx Oh, yeah
No - you can estimate a horse's age by looking at its teeth. Looking a "gift horse in the mouth" would be like judging the gift's value or appearing ungrateful. The general idea is: it may not be ideal (like an old horse) but it was free & you can still make good use of it & be grateful for having one at all.
The curly horse comes from North America and it is a type of a horse breed. their coat is curly looking i think that is why they are called curly horse.
Pinto. Is that the answer you were looking for?
By looking a horse in the mouth, you can tell their age and whether or not they're in good health. But if you get a horse as a gift, you should be happy to have a horse and not question what shape they're in.
Yes

A run down horse is a horse that is either poorly cared for, resulting in a ill, scruffy looking, stubborn horse or a worn out horse. Hope this helps!
