Categorically: no.
Firstly, that's the wrong way around. Bull sperm is made up of different substances, including the acid Taurine.
Taurine occurs naturally in all sorts of places, including human bile, bull bile, testes and urine.
It was first extracted from Ox bile.
Secondly, the Taurine that we find in food and drink products today is not extracted from any part of animals; who would want that job?! Instead, it is artificially made in laboratories.
You can drink energy/stimulation drinks without fear that you are ingesting bull sperm.
Neither. Taurine is a naturally occurring aminoethanesulfonic acid. It can be found in the bile and tissues of many animals, including humans. The name taurine comes from the latin Taurus meaning an ox or bull. This name was chosen as taurine was first discovered in ox bile in 1827. But don't panic that you may be drinking ox bile when you purchase an energy drink, the taurine used in energy drinks is a synthetic. Despite it's reputation, there is no scienctific evidence to suggest that taurine can give you an energy boost though.
No. Commercially-produced taurine is made synthetically and not extracted from any plant or animal substance.
Yeah its true
There are at least 6 to10 million sperm per ejaculation.
You get the sperm by the straw. And the amount per straw depends on the quality of the bull, how large the demand is for that bull as well as the breed of such a bull. Prices for semen straws can sky rocket if the bull dies and there is only a limited quantity of semen left. You will have to check your local bull semen distributor or any other cattle ranches that sell bull semen for their prices.
The average bull has around 1.2 billion spermatozoa per mL of semen ejaculated.
As he said below. First, no reason to put it in there. Second- you obviously have no idea what high quality bull semen (used by farmers for artificial insemination of cattle) sells for. It is NOT cheap! It can be several hundred dollars per unit. You need to work on becoming less gullible.
Sperm, which is in the semen from a bull, goes from the bull's penis into the Fornix Vagina of the cow, which is located vagina close to the cervix. Sperm then travels through the maze of the cervix, and into the uterus. From the uterus, they travel up the uterine horns (or one of them) to the ovum or egg that has been released from the ovaries into the infundibulum down to the oviduct.
Taurine is found in some energy drinks, but bull sperm is found in no food at all (unless one counts the traditional bull's testicles at some food-fairs).
It isn't. Taurine is a chemical, an Amino acid, that can be found in bull semen. And in bile, ANd some other places. However, all taurine that's commercially used is synthetic, made in chemical factories.
No. Taurine is a sulfonic acid that is found in ox bile, not sperm.
I think no
There is no evidence of bull sperm in Monster energy drinks.
Taurine is actually derived from Bull Sperm. When filtered and removed from the semen, you end up with a mix of hormones from the endocrine gland...basically, what gives the bull its spunk.
I think its is bulls urine. Usually found in energy drinks. Taurine isn't bull's urine . . . the kind found in energy drinks is synthetically made in a lab. (ehow.com explains the process) The taurine in animal food is derived from skeletal and other parts of the protein they are using in their foods. The rumor about the bull's urine began because taurine was first found in the bile of bulls (which is why the root "taur" is now used).
L-taurine is an amino acid that contains sulfure, and can be found in the muscles and nervous system. It has become a popular supplement for body builders, and is being studied as a treatment for a variety of medical conditions.
Red bull contains taurine.
Taurine, or 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, is an organic acid. It is also a major constituent of bile and can be found in the lower intestine and, in small amounts, in the tissues of many animals, including humans. Taurine is named after the Latin Taurus, which means bull or ox, as it was first isolated from ox bile in 1827 by German scientists Friedrich Tiedemann and Leopold Gmelin. Bull sperm is made up of different substances, including the acid Taurine. Taurine that we find in food and drink products today is not extracted from any part of animals; who would want that job?! Instead, it is artificially made in laboratories. You can drink energy/stimulation drinks without fear that you are ingesting bull sperm.
cows are the female of the species, ergo no sperm. and no winterfresh gum is not made out of bull sperm. interestingly enough though, there is a suppliment called Taurine found in many energy drinks that is made out of bull bile.
No. This is an urban legend. Red Bull energy drink contains taurine, a sulphuric acid. This acid was first isolated from a bull's bile in 1827 by German scientists. This is the source of the urban legend. Taurine is added because it is believed to be an energy source for some people. Given that this drink is supposed to be for energy, it is more likely that any "energy" is derived from the caffeine and sugar present in the formula than from the Taurine.
