Dogs in Heaven?Though there are many views about whether animals exist in heaven, none of them can be proven or dis proven. Here are some views for you to consider:

• Some believe that there is no dog or cat heaven. They believe animals do not have an eternal soul and therefore they do not go to heaven or hell. Animals have a temporary soul on earth which expires when they die. Only human beings have an eternal soul which continues to exist, after their body has died, in either heaven or hell.

• On the other hand, many religions teach that not just humans have souls and that a creator would not "bless" just man with the right to another, better life after death. Many scholars say that if you can love, dream and feel then you have a "soul." No-one can deny that animals love, dream, and feel since we see it everyday with our own pets.

  DREAM

  When pets are gone, I hope they dream,

  Of happy times and bowls of cream.

  The quiet dreams of soft spring grass;

  Of watching birds through panes of glass;

  Of summer days and clear blue skies;

  Of kids and strings and butterflies;

  Of romp and play in fresh mown hay;

  Of warmth and sunbeams on a winters day;

  Of rolling toys with tiny bells

  and comfy, cozy kitchen smells;

  Of large warm laps and soft caress;

  Of happy times without life's stress.

  For while they're here, they give so much,

  and fill the lives of all they touch,

  with warmth and love, so it's not so much,

  to hope, they dream.

We are thinking and breathing creatures, believing and hoping that your beloved pet will happily greet you in the afterlife is not wrong nor is it bad. We all search for beliefs to comfort us as we leave this life. That is the whole point of religion.
