Not officially (in North America), but common names can be very confusing. There is a Barn Owl, that loves to live in barns & abandoned buildings and has dark eyes, a white heart-shaped face, slim body, long legs, and white belly and under-wings. There is also a "Short-eared" Owl that might be abbreviated as "shed".
