My Betta has swelling under it's front fins below it's gills.
if it is floating to the top, it means that your betta is sick. if it swims to the top and stays there, it is a normal behaviour of a betta.
It most likely means that he/she is sick because that is what happened to my betta fish. make sure you don't overfeed your betta fish because it can lead to constipation and that will cause trouble for the betta fish
yes i have a Betta, and I've had it for almost half a year and for about a week he had a tank with no filter but then i got a new one and he's fine and hasn't gotten sick. my dad and i also asked an expert on fish and marine animals and he said it was okay to put a filter inside the tank.
NO!!!!! They should not eat betta fish...but if your cat has then call a vet, and don't get anymore betta Fish!
betta are not harmful to people and most tropical fish. However, there are some very common fish that are poisonous. Most of the common plecos with spines can be toxic to tropical fish if they are dumb enough to peck at it. If you feel that another fish you own will get sick from being around your betta, odds are the two can live together happily and healthily. If another pet, like a cat or dog swallowed your betta, I wouldn't worry. I have never heard of pet poisoning from eating tropicals.
it will be sick but if it continues then your betta will die.

Betta fish grow paler and less active when they are sick or old.

Betta fish change color by there environment and the types of food that you feed it. If your Betta fish is loosing color that means that your Betta is sick.

Yes. Betta Fish do change their coloer every now and then. Or if you have a male, he will change his coloer if hes chaseing a female Betta Fish. Or if he sees another male Betta Fish.
If your betta is at the bottom of its tank, it is either very sick or dead.Sorry if this answer is too late.
None of them, you sick freak. Keep your fish seperate.
it probley means that your betta is sick. Look up on websites to see if you can diagnose your betta with any sickness. I realize my data was sick after he died so look sicknesses up fast. Hope this helps.
it just mean he's sick and he needs to change the water or get a filter
