that's purrrrrrrrficly fine.shes purring as a sign of affection.
When it sounds like purring it is usually a dominance thing, but you may want to check the gender of your pig.it could be this but it could also mean that they are just interacting with each other
When you are petting your guinea pig, and it makes a noise, that's called purring (like cats but a lower volume) and then their body vibrates, that means it's content with however you are petting them.I have a guinea pig named Chelsea (just got her today) and she does this every time I hold her. It's adorable! It is like purring which is actually a strong vibration of their heart because it beats faster than ours does.
This purring noice occurs when you pet a guinea pig too rough, and like you said, when loud noices such as the telephone or the dog barking startle it. It is basically just a noice it makes when it is startled.
Many including Pneumonia are contagious to other guinea pigs, if you have suspicions that your guinea pig is sick separate it from the others just in case they get it. But if you are thinking contagious to humans than the answer is no.
Guinea pigs may sneeze due to various reasons, including respiratory infections, allergies, irritants in their environment, or dusty bedding. If a guinea pig's sneezing is persistent or accompanied by other symptoms like nasal discharge or lethargy, it is best to consult a veterinarian for proper diagnosis and treatment.
If by "flutter" you mean they make a kind of purring sound, they are happy. My guinea pig purrs all of the time...when he sees me coming, when I pet him, when I give him a treat, and even when I talk to him. He'll start doing the "piggy dance" and swaying from side-to-side, all while purring to my hearts' content. Guinea pigs have many ways of showing that they are happy and content, purring or fluttering is just one of them.
This means a guinea pig is experiencing pleasure, enjoyment, or excitement. You will hear this noise when you pet your guinea pig or feeding it a treat. If you hear this noise suddenly when you are not petting your guinea pig it is afraid or it feels threatened. They purr if they hear a loud noise: a telephone ring or a knock on the door.
motorboat jones is just one of the altar egos for jordan himself along with johnny kilroy
There is not a lot of information on cats purring, but I believe they do have the choice unless they are in pain and then it might be a reaction.
yes its good it means they are content and relaxed , you make get mistaken for teeth chattering and purring , teeth chattering is normally to warn off another guinea pig but one of mine does it to me too sometimes so be careful you can pick them up and stuff but just try to relax the guinea pig if they teeth chatter
The guinea-pig that is "shivering" is just simply telling the other one to BACK OFF
well just like any other guinea pigs they can be and are allowed to mate
i have over 30 guinea pigs and that has happened to me once to. usually they are fighting over dominance if they are males. if they are females they probably just didn't like each other. im sorry about your guinea pig :(
Ya. They like guinea pig just as much as they like any other animal.

The scientific name for a domestic cat is Felis catus. A cat that is purring does not have a different name than a cat who is not purring. A purr is just a characteristic of all domestic cats and some larger cats as well.
I would not recommend it. Just have the Mother Guinea Pig in with her babies separately. Sometimes the other guinea pigs can get excited and accidentally stomp the babies to death so best to keep Mom & babies separate.
