What term describes a level of organization that contains only one species
species
an organism is 1 living species and species are things that live in a certain area
Some examples of organisms that can reproduce both sexually and asexually include fungi, certain plants like strawberries, and certain animals like starfish and some species of lizards. These organisms are able to switch between sexual and asexual reproduction depending on environmental conditions.
In the common used hierarchy of biology, this would be a community, all organisms within a certain area.
Organisms that live in extremely hot environments are called thermophiles, such as certain bacteria and archaea. Organisms that thrive in extremely salty environments are known as halophiles, like some species of archaea and certain types of algae. These extremophiles have adaptations that allow them to survive and even thrive in these harsh conditions.
Species
The Capuchin is an endangered species of monkey. Certain wildlife organizations are taking certain measures to preserve the Capuchin species.
species
The domain rank contains the largest number of organisms, as it encompasses all life forms.
an organism is 1 living species and species are things that live in a certain area
Organisms in the same species have the most characteristics in common, as they are capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring.
Species
The smallest taxonomic group that contains organisms of different species is the genus. An example of this would be the genus Canis, which includes multiple species such as Canis lupus (wolf), Canis familiaris (dog), and Canis latrans (coyote).
That group of organisms of a certain species in one area at a given time is known as a population. A population consists of individuals of the same species that can interbreed and share a common gene pool.
Organisms that can interbreed and produce fertile offspring belong to the same species classification. Organisms within a species share similar characteristics and can reproduce to create viable offspring.
Certain types of species live across the globe
In biological terms it is the change in certain characteristics of populations of organisms of the same species
