A chicken usually has a very long memory for it's "mother" (the one it see's for the first time), and enviornment. SO.. I would say up til' the day they die, but if you abandon for a while they're memory might be fuzzy so do a routine you used to do with them and they will probably pull through. (: Hope i helped?
