That happened to me at the start they are grinding their teeth because they are scared. The first few days are vital, even though it is not advised to get them out of the cage and make concact with them you should because it is immportant you make that bond with them at an early stage.

∙ 12y agoWell if they are squeaks that's means something oculd be upsetting your hamster. you vould maybe leave it alone for a few days, just give it food and water.Hamsters rarely squeak so it should be over in a while. ONLY FOLLOW THIS IS THE NOISE IS SQUEAKING, IF NOT CHECK WITH A VET

∙ 15y agoHamsters will make some noises, you make hear squeaks. But if the hamster is making crackling noises as it breathes, he may have an upper respiratory problem and needs to be seen by a vet.
