One may be able to find a list of British birds from various Internet sources, nonfiction library books, or encyclopedias. The nature conservation charity, RSPB, is a great site to find a list of British birds.
Amphibians live in both water and on land, while even the waterbirds that are around water all the time never actually live in the water. Also, birds can fly, while amphibians can't, and birds lay hard-shelled eggs while amphibians lay soft-shelled eggs. There are many more differences, but I don't have time to list them all.
There are many birds that call the desert home. Next to the rainforest, the desert has the greatest biodiversity when it comes to animals. Birds have an advantage in that they can fly to a water of source.
