Pit bulls often refer to breeds of dogs in the Mastiff group of dogs, which are generally larger dogs that are often (historically) used for dog fighting. actually all dogs are related to pitbull's because pitbull's are a kind of dog

*** if you read about the American pitbull terrier on wikipedia, you will see that there are other dog breeds that are more closely related to pitbulls than other dogs. this includes the saffordshire bull terrier. a beautiful muscle dog that supposedly has a better temperment.

American Pit Bull Terrior, American Staffordshire Terrior, and any dogs mixed w/ pit bulls are called pit bulls. All of these are AWESOME breeds!
