With a Pangasius Filet, you can cook it two ways to guarantee a full formed flavor. Personally I like to broil the fish in the oven for about 11 min, always seems to have a great finish. Drizzle some lemon butter on top and its good to go. Or you can pan fry it, but be careful this fish can burn easily. Hope this helps
Pangasius Hypophthalmus is not halal.
Scientific name: Pangasius conchophilus,Russian name: Пангасиус меконгский,English name: Snail-eater pangasius
I've never tried it and judging by this article, I probably never will: http://www.dietmindspirit.org/2008/01/30/why-you-shouldnt-eat-this-fish-pangas-pangasius-vietnamese-river-cobbler-white-catfish-gray-sole/ I have tried this fish just yesterday (7/25/10). I fried it along with Rice-a-Roni Asian style rice. The fish was exceptionally wonderful and had a nice meaty flavor to it. Most people say that theres a horrible reaction in the next 24 hrs, but nothing has happened. Not all Pangasius fish are grown over in Vietnam. There are also Panganius fish farms in Puerto Rico, Poland, Spain, Russia and the U.K. Please give this fish a try and stop going off what other people say. Besides, maybe they didn't cook it all the way through.
The Cobbler Fish is also known as the Basa Fish - Latin name Pangasius bocourti - is a type of catfish in the family Pangasiidae. However, Basa Fish and Catfishes (order Siluriformes) are not the same fish. Simple in the same family.
This was rather difficult to figure out what you meant, but if you mean what kinds of fish they can eat, the answer is all of them. Jewish people cannot eat shellfish.Answer:A lot of work has been done around scaleless and scaled fish to meet Kosher food guidelines. A fish must have both visible scales and fins to be Kosher. Shellfish, shrimp, scampi, prawns, lobsers, octopus and squid are not fish and are not allowed. Whales eat krill and other fish. Fish eat other fish, depending on what type of fish it is.
