Bugs and earthworms can be digested by chicks right away, as soon as they start foraging in the yard with the mother hen. This is usually about week two or three. These are treats and should never be the sole source of nutrition for chicks as the protein levels will cause problems. Start your chicks on a chick starter feed at least for the first few weeks of life whenever possible. Even free range hens will do better when given a good start and they will supplement that with whatever they find in the farmyard.
they go off hunting catch some worms and eat them then fly back and regurgitate (throw up) the worms into the chicks mouths (gross I know)
Depends on age of Chickens, for 4 to 6 week chicks it would be 1/4oz in quart.
No, worms come from worm eggs. Milk can give a grown cat diarrhea.
Not really if given to a youngster, it will end up crushed, it will die lack of water feed , get cold die ect .if not they will lose intrest after a while . i once seen a kid have a chick for about 5 min then it was doomed .iv'e had numorous people give me chicks because they were given these chicks for Easter next day now what.
Many chicks never know their mother. Most chicks are artificially incubated and are raised in a brooder with other chicks their own age. Chicks hatched by a broody hen in the chicken coop often stay with "mom" until they are full grown at the age of 6 to 8 months old and will often stay with "mom" all their lives. This is basically just for companionship as the mother hen does not feed her chicks, they are born knowing how and what to eat.
yes
yes
No they should really be fed fresh greens as a treat and depending on the age a chick starter or a chick grower does very well for chicks and ducklings.

If you are the first thing they see when they are hatched they will have a strong bond with you. I have handled a chick as much as possible and she follows me around everywhere. You just have to keep up with it

It doesn't matter what age they are, they can still get worms no matter what age they are.
Give them whiskey and crack.
yes, the parent usually eats the food (worms or bugs) then they basically vomit into their chicks mouth.
