The spinal vertebrae of a shark are made of cartilage, not bone, so you could rightly say sharks are vertebrates with no backbone.

Moths are arthropods because they have jointed legs and a chitin exoskeleton and birds are chordata because they have a backbone and nervous system.
I suppose there could be other answers to this, but the clue "six jointed legs" instantly says insect to me. Members of the Class Insecta (Phylum Arthropoda) are defined principally by having six jointed appendages (legs).
They are called arthropods( that means jointed legs )
i do not have a clue :S
That is correct. A tarantula is an invertebrate, meaning it has no backbone and has an exoskeleton, meaning the support system for its body is on the outside of its body. The legs are jointed - a characteristic of an arthropod.
