It is widely accepted that deep sea giant squids have the biggest eyes. Many have not been caught alive and the very few that were caught for experimental study died immediately after they were brought out of water. The deep sea research on giant squids started just recently and the first images of live adults were taken in 2004. However a giant colossal squid that was caught in the April of 2008 has the biggest recorded eyes for any animal with a diameter of 28 centimeters.

Not really, A human(fish) has the biggest eyes. They can grow up to an meter!
