the answer is a mosquito, a mosquito is a parasite :)
They drink any type of blood, but love Type-O. Ten years of research into mosquito habits and two years persuading volunteers to be swarmed, has been enough for a Tokyo-based expert to draw conclusions. Dr Yoshikazu Shirai, who holds a PhD in medical entomology, based his findings on tests he did on 64 people who held their arm in a humid enclosure for 10 minutes. By repeating the experiment twice on different days, each person was eventually exposed to 105 mosquitoes. In a climate-controlled, summery 23 degrees, mosquitoes reveal their weaknesses. Men are slightly more likely to be bitten than women but it is blood type (type O) and body heat that really get them interested. Each mosquito had its proboscis (the part it bites with) amputated. Since the mosquitoes couldn't bite, and thus couldn't drink their fill, the researchers were able to compare how often they landed on the skin of different volunteers. They found those with type O blood were twice as attractive to mosquitoes than those with a different blood type.
Drinking rubbing alcohol can be extremely dangerous for animals. It can cause severe toxicity, leading to symptoms such as vomiting, difficulty breathing, and even organ damage. Immediate veterinary attention is necessary if an animal ingests rubbing alcohol.
The animals which live on sucking blood from others organism's body is called sanguinivorus animal. E.g., mosquitoes are sanguinivorus as they suck blood from others and also vampires (Bats) are sanguinivorus.
They get all their life needs by leeching the very life and energy out of any living thing it can infect, which is called a host. Anything the host eats, the parasites eats. When it wants a snack, it drinks some of the host's blood.

The insect you are referring to is likely a mosquito. Mosquitoes can transmit parasites such as malaria, dengue, and West Nile virus when they feed on the blood of animals, including humans. It is important to take preventive measures to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes in areas where these diseases are prevalent.
The female Anopheles mosquito. The mosquito spreads viruses such as those that lead to malaria, yellow fever and dengue fever, as a byproduct of injecting its anti-coagulant saliva into the bodies of its victims before starting to feed. Bats, including vampire bats, have also been known to spread the rabies virus to both animals and humans, and are a suspected vector in the spread of the deadly viral diseases SARS and ebola.
