They believe there is proof (complexity of DNA) that everything was designed by a higher power. They also generally believe that every creature was created in present form. Meaning: everything is as it always was; nothing evolved. This is simply not the case. They also generally believe in a "young earth" (6,000-10,000 years old).
Unfortunately for ID proponents, there is much scientific evidence to prove life evolved, to prove that the earth is much older the 10,000 years old (more like 4.54 billion years old), and to indicate that life is capable of existing without a designer.
