The impact on animals is that there is several endemic species (which means that there are several animals that only live in Cyprus) that are getting endangered by the desertification that is happening. It is causing lots of animals to die because there isn't enough water for the animals to drink and if there isn't enough for animals to drink then animals will die so the predators of those animals will die because there isn't enough food for them so they will starve to there death.
