Behavioral adaptations are the things organisms do to survive. They show a change in their instinctive reactions when it improves their ability to find food, avoid predators, or produce offspring. This is not a function of one animal, but of a community, where the individuals that adapt will have more offspring with that trait than those who do not adapt.

For example, an animal that mates more frequently by hibernating less could have better survival than one that hibernates more. Or the hibernating animals could avoid food shortages, and that would be the best adaptation.
