Kittens:

1. Start to play around the age of 4 weeks

2. Give it time to adapt to your home, and don't expect it to be best friends with you right away

3. Introduction to other family members or animals should be as quiet and stress-free as possible

4. Offer encouragement and petting, but allow it to explore on its own time

5. It is not unusual for a kitten to hide, be skittish, or not eat for a day or two

6. Possibly cry a lot the first couple of nights

7. Kept inside and only taken outside on leash

8. Be aware of safety hazards such as, dangling electric cords, any plastic the kitten may be tempted to eat

9. It may sound weird, but always check for kittens inside before closing your refrigerator, ovens, washing machines, etc

10. Groom weekly

Just remember any living creature is a BIG responsibility. Don't just read these 10 facts, research before you make the decision to welcome a kitten into your home.
