General feed for horses is either Bermuda, Alfalfa or Timothy Hay. Some people feed hay Cubes or pellets as opposed to standard grass hay. Horses also love carrots, apples, sugar cubes and all horse cookies and treats (really they like anything sweet)

∙ 12y agoA horse eats a lot of food, it all depends on the age, the level of exercise a horse preforms and there taste buds. If the horse is pasture kept it is most likely to eat grass most of the summer and in the winter the owner might decide to put hay in the pasture. If the horse is stall kept and is worked hard like an Olympic jumper it might eat some concentrated oats and hay in the morning and might get some joint supplements and some corn at night. Some of the main foods are: Hay, grass, carrots, apples, oats, corn and grain. If you plan on having a horse and feeding it I would ask a vet to know what your horse needs.
