Otoscopes are used to look inside the ear canals. The name otoscope comes from two Greek words, oto - "ear" and the verb skopein - "to look".
Most people have had their ears looked at in this manner. The otoscope is the big flashlight-looking thing that your doctor puts the little plastic tip on before putting it inside your ear and looking through the magnifying eyepiece. The otoscope allows the examiner to get a well-illuminated view of the ear canal and the eardrum of the person or animal being examined.

∙ 14y agoOpen the battery handle and put batteries into battery handle, Batteries position should be upward in which positive portion of the batteries seen from the top of battery handle and closed with threads application.
fix the disposable cannula on the otoscope as per requirements, and check lights with switch button for verification light source from batteries.
insert disposable cannula into ear cavity and see through lens for examination, if the doctor observe any wax into the ear then use any delicate instruments for taking out wax from the ear cavity by holding up lens.
discard cannula for single patient use.
