Usually horses are named with some link to their pedigree. You could always add a word that would indicate speed or agility like - " Quick as a Cat", lightning etc.

Yes, be it for a gelding or mare. Of course what you want to name your horse is your decision.
I'm pretty certain that if the horse was allowed to express an opinion he'd say that it was bad.
I find that a navy blue or baby blue look quite nice on a dun colored horse. To some people a 'saddle cloth' is a saddle pad or saddle blanket. It is worn under the saddle on top of the horse's back.
Call him something that he gives you, as you grow to know the horse, you will begin to feel he is imprinting with you. Follow that message. A six year old stallion Blue, is a playful spirit but can get jumpy when overly excited. It was suggested he be named "Jumpy" but, I stuck with the name Blue because he is a Blue Roam, and the name felt right. Books with baby names are a good place to look too.
The names of some good horse websites are: Horseland, ClubPonyPals, Howrse, Horse Isle.
It depends on what breed.... and the size of the horse. for and average horse say maybe a quarter horse, probably around 900 to 1000 lbs. once again it depends on the breed and how healthy the horse is/age and what kind of food it's fed.
Lucky.

The Saddle Club is called its name because three girls names Carole, Lisa and Stevie all loved horses! Carole rode on a dun, buckskin, gelding called Starlight. He was a very good jumper and he was also named "Pretty Boy" as he was very handsome! Lisa rode on a pinto, skewbald, gelding called Patch. he was a begginers horse and Lisa felt comfortable with him. The she moved onto Prancer a chestnut mare who was very good at jumping aswell! Stevie rode on a bay gelding called Comanchie and then moved onto Belle, a stray horse that Stevie rescued from a nasty lady. So that's how the Saddle Club got its name!
