I am 12 yrs old and I REALLY want to buy a horse but I need some ways to make money in order to board the horse. What can I do to make money FAST?
Well firstly, the cost of buying a horse is one of the lower costs associated with it. You can even get them for free. That being said, it usually takes around$4,000 a year to keep just one horse that doesn't compete in shows or travel. The cost goes up from there if the horse is boarded or shows. You might be able to find someone who would exchange you doing barn work for the board fee. To make money you could babysit, or mowing lawns, but those jobs tend to be few and far between for anyone under 14.

Don't give him a treat until after, so he knows once he has the halter on he gets rewards, not before. Be quiet and gentle. Also try some trust activities, it worked wonders when my horse wouldn't catch. Remember never to let your horse get away with it. :)
