Living things are divided into a string of classifications: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species. Terrapins, which include turtles, which mainly live in water and tortoises, which primarily live on land, are of the class Reptilia, or reptiles. Similarly, Frogs and toads belong to the class Amphibia, or amphibians. Toads, which have fairly dry, rough skin, primarily live on land and frogs, which have moist and smooth skin live primarily in water. (Tree frogs are the major exception. They are frogs, but live mainly in trees, on land.)

Terrapins are freshwater turtles. Some common ones are the red-eared sliders and Yellow bellied Terrapins. You should not sell baby turtles in or close to winter because they carry a disease.
