How much Geritol can be given to cats?

Before giving any human nutritional supplements to cats (or dogs), ask your veterinarian. Even some over-the-counter medications can have ingredients that are harmful to pets, just as they may be harmful in humans if taken to excess. For example, when a human antacid is prescribed for cats, it is a MUCH lower dosage than any human would take, even a child, because of the lower body weight and lower food consumption of the cat.

How does a giraffe vomit?

Great question! with such a high neck the forces of gravity seem to work against the poor animal! Fortunately the muscles of the esophagus are very strong- The esophagus is a long muscular tube connecting your mouth and your stomach. There are muscles at the top and bottom of the esophagus that control things coming and going, much like control valves-this is called peristalsis. These muscles are called the upper and lower esophageal sphincters. when we eat food-the stomach functions as a reservoir for holding the food-which it does with 2 very large muscles. When a person or animal throws up, the lower-esophageal sphincter opens so that as the stomach squeezes, there is nothing to keep the food in the stomach and so it comes back up the esophagus.
