The Homeward Bound movies are great films about three family pets who get lost on trips and are determined to find their way back home. In "Homeward Bound 2: Lost in San Francisco" they meet a group of strays, one of which named Sledge, who seems to be a Shetland sheepdog but may be mixed with something else.
There is some confusion as to what kind of dog Sledge is. It seems most believe he was either an Aussie or an Aussie mix.
It has a leonberger coloring and a labrador retriever body structure. So I say or think that Riley is a Labrador Retriever mix Leonberger. Just my opinion of what I think he might be. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.
For want of a nail the show is lost, for what of a show the horse is lost, for want of a horse the rider is lost, is part of a famous quote. This quote was by Benjamin Franklin.

In "Homeward Bound 2: Lost in San Francisco," The Age of Chance is a band whose music is featured in the film's soundtrack. The band is known for their blend of electronic, punk, and dance music.
I have both the movies so this question is right up my ally. The elderly golden retriever is Shadow. The high-wired, immature Pitt bull (possibly Pitt bull mix) is Chance. The Himalayan cat is Sassy.
