Pros:

Well you get another pet, for starters, and it's exactly like the other one (which could be a con). It's also an advancement for science so they may be able to start cloning organs for operations.

Cons:

The animal, although it appears brand new, would actually be the same age as the animal it was cloned from. So if you clone a 7 year old dog, the new dog would appear would appear as a puppy, but it's organs and systems would feel as if they were 7. So it would probably pass a few years later. Depending on the breed.
