When can you start to lunge your horse?

You need a lunge lead, connect this to the horses halter and walk your horse into a lunge ring. You need a whip. Give your horse a gentle whip to make it start walking then keep it going round, give commands to trot, if it does not trot, whip it again then make it go the other way. Then give command for canter etc; you need to stand at least 20 feet away from the horse and make sure that you only lunge your horse for around 20 minutes to 30 minutes otherwise it tires them out for riding. If your horse is flighty lunge it before riding. Lunging is used to make horses quiten and make them get out energy before riding purpopses. Remember it is always a good idea to put boots on a horse when lunging becasue they are more likely to have a brushing injury. Stay in the center of the ring while the horse runs in circle around the fence. You need a lunge line and a gentle whip. You attach the lunge line to the horse's halter or bridle and gradually give them more distance between you and them. I would start out with a trot, then canter, then trot, then a cool-off walk. Each one should take from 25-30 minutes.

Your horse bites the lunging whip what do you do He also bucks and rears before he grabs it with his teeth and tries playing tug a war?

Is the lunging whip close to his mouth, because it shouldn't be. Keep it close to his back hooves when lunging. If you have a lead rope while lunging, and the horse tries to turn around and nibble the whip, keep control of him with the lead rope. When he starts bucking and rearing, take this as a sign that he is about to bite the whip. Ignore the bucking and rearing, he will soon see that he doesn't get extra attention from it and stop. When he tries to play tug of war, don't fight with him. Let him have the whip, don't encourage him by playing along. Eventually he will get the idea and drop it. You should look into lunging correctly to make sure that he isn't doing this because of you. Remember that the lunging whip is not to be used on the horse, the horse should only be guided by the whip's position and the sound that it makes. If you have been hitting or tapping your horse with the lunge whip for encouragement, you may be annoying your horse. The thin lunge whip feels like a fly or something tickling the horse if you use it very lightly. Instead of making contact to the horse with the whip, tap the whip on the ground. The sound that the whip makes will tell your horse what to do.

The easy way to get a horse in shape?

Here of some of the easiest and best ways to get a horse in shape:Don't over feed it; this means not always putting it in a field with a ton of grass, try to plan it's meals out (whether or not this means hay or grass)Ride it; riding a horse is great exercise for you and your horse, and it fun!Lunging; this is when you put a horse on a long string and you get them to run in a circle around you; this will get your horse to work and burn off some fat while you just spin in circles holding a whip (not to hit the horse with) and a string! (you might want to read up on this before trying it)Cart pulling; if you have the right equipment you can work your horse by getting it to pull you in a cart

Is the ox compatible with a horse in Chinese zodiac?

No. The ox is a stable sign while the horse is the complete opposite. Communication is poor between these 2 signs. The reason why this is a bad match is because the horse cannot stay or work in one place for too long otherwise they lose interest where as the ox is a sign of stability and will see the horse as disorganized and unreliable.

Some easily observable signs: color change, precipitation, release of gas (bubbles), release of heat (rarely: cooling), emission of light, change of volume (if some reactants are gaseous), change of odor... Note: while some reactions can exhibit several of mentioned signs, quite often there are no changes detectable just by your senses.

What are some signs a horse has eaten a poisonous plant?

The horse may colic (show signs of abdominal pain such as pawing, nipping at his flanks, pacing, rolling, breaking into a sweat while standing, etc.). Other plants can cause neurologic signs (incoordination, "drunken" walking, seizures, behavior changes, etc.). Other plants primarily affect the blood, which may cause bleeding, pale or dark mucus membranes or changes to the color of the urine. In general, if you suspect your horse may be exposed to a toxic plant, get the horse off that pasture and keep a very close eye on him. If he starts showing any abnormal behaviors, call a veterinarian immediately.
