When it comes to sensing the world around us, human beings have it pretty poor compared to most of the animal kingdom. For example, our eyes can only detect a fraction of the colours that birds can see and our ears cannot hear very high frequencies like bats or dogs. Similarly, our noses need to be bombarded with odours before detecting any scent, compared to moths, which can detect individual molecules. We make up for our limited sensory abilities by inventing equipment like sensors, detectors, GPS, sonar, night vision goggles and thermographic cameras. But it seems evolution is one step ahead, endowing bats, birds, fish and even insects with far more efficient natural powers. Taking a closer look at these 'super senses' may help us to build better technology and lead to discoveries about hidden super senses of our own.
Lions have acute senses, needed to hunt for their prey.
All animals have at least 5 senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell) to varying degrees. Some animals, such as some species of snakes, have reduced or specialized senses, but they still have all five senses.

Animal super senses refer to heightened sensory abilities that some animals possess, allowing them to perceive the world in ways that humans cannot. Examples include the echolocation of bats, the night vision of cats, the ability of sharks to detect electric fields, and the sense of smell of bloodhounds. These super senses often play a crucial role in an animal's survival and hunting strategies.

A lion has most of the same body parts as a human, but its senses, like the hearing or smelling, will be heightened
