Tertiary consumer/predator
An animal that is a predator but is never or almost never prey is called an apex predator. The are a number of examples.
An animal that eats other animals is known as a carnivore or secondary (or tertiary) consumer. An animal that catches and kills another animal (in order to eat it) is known as a predator (in ecology this would be a "true predator"). Examples of true predators are lions, wolves and eagles.
What you have to know is every animal has a predator, and every animal is a predator to another animal. So, you could literally name every animal that exists on the planet.
3rd Order Hetertrophs, Top Carnivores, Tertiary Consumers
Examples of tertiary activities?
Tertiary consumer/ predator because tertiary means it goes through stages and the consumer goes with it and the predator means that it eats other animals.
no cause it a tertiary consumer
Tertiary consumer/predator
An apex predator and a tertiary consumer are not necessarily the same, although they can overlap. An apex predator is at the top of the food chain with no natural predators, while a tertiary consumer is an organism that feeds on secondary consumers. While many apex predators are also tertiary consumers, not all tertiary consumers are apex predators, as some may be preyed upon by others.
Tertiary consumer or top predator.
All mammals present today are example of tertiary period mammals as we are living in tertiary period .

For primary activity the examples are cotton, copper, and iron. For secondary activity the examples are pencil, jacket, sweatshirt, and backpack. Tertiary activity involve in service, and the examples are doctor, and nurse.
A basic food chain starts with a primary producer and has a chain of primary, secondary, and tertiary predators. This would start with algae as the primary producer, minnows as the primary predator, sunfish as the secondary predator and pike as the tertiary predator.
