Humid and they feed on dead cells, such as hairs and skin from ppl and animals on the floor. also dust (since it bestows of particles that bestows of those things)
So yeah, you can say dirt atracts them. Keep it clean and they will find it harder to survive. Tho they can live for months w/o feeding, so once u got em in yer house it can be hard to get rid of them..try some chlorine in the pipes and wash the floors with a sting of it and this will help. if u live in an apartement building, it can be hard to keep em away since your neighbour might be fuilty and atract them, then they will come to u too...

Silverfish can be found in dark, damp environments such as basements, bathrooms, kitchens, and areas with high humidity levels. They like to hide in cracks, crevices, and behind baseboards, feeding on starchy materials like paper, glue, and clothing. Silverfish are nocturnal and move quickly when disturbed.
Army ants are predatory and may consume silverfish if they come across them while foraging. Silverfish, being scavengers, may also feed on dead army ants if the opportunity arises. However, these interactions are not well-studied and may vary depending on the specific circumstances.
About 2 inches.
The roach like bug that you are talking about may be a silverfish. The diet of a silverfish is mainly sugars and starches.
Silverfish and army ants do not have a direct relationship. Silverfish are wingless insects that primarily feed on starches and carbohydrates found in books, paper, and other materials. Army ants are highly organized nomadic predators that hunt in large groups, consuming a wide variety of prey, but they do not typically target silverfish as a food source.
