What breed of dog is Krypto the super dog?

Although it is never specifically stated in the DC comic books, he appears to be a white labrador retriever. (Hi I am someone who is adding info on.Superdog who's name was Krypto was designed first using a Greyhound.If you look good you will find this info.As stated by the person before there are many times he does look as a white Labrador.Now if this is do to other artist I do not know.For you know Superman has been done by a few artist now and does not always look the same. It just on the Labrador that has never been stated that I can find.But I would say most offend he did look like a white Labrador to me to.Now I have no idea,have seen him with up to date Superboy and Superman and those look like either he is a Krypton wolf or their dog that looks like our German Shepherd.That's even is this new Krypto is even a Krypton animal.You know DC comics they love to muck things up.They lost me as a big fan,only pick certain mags now and then.)
