Hi! I found a spider similar to the one you're describing on a lavender plant in my Southern California garden. It appears to be a Western variation of the Peucetia Viridans or Green Lynx Spider, see here http://bugguide.net/node/view/30278.

I believe it is a type of jeweled spider.
It is almost impossible to tell for certain what kind of spider a given specimen is simply by its appearance. In this case, you can rule out many species of spiders, but additional information such as size and web type would be key in its identification.
a spottious (spot-ti-us) spider, they are very rare in America but are most known for in England, only in the warm part of England because spottious spiders like warm climates better than colder climates
Utah! Utah kicks butt but i think Michigan may have a chance you never no!
To hit or push against with the head or horns; ram.
if you are asking what goats ram into they ram into each other a lot
Identifying spiders is difficult to do without knowing more than just the spider's color.. Body type, the presence or absence of hair, and where the spider is found can all help to make a positive identification. A spider with a black body and brown legs is likely to be a common house spider, which is not dangerous.
Your mom.
The funky butt spider is a common name for Micrathena gracilis which does occur in Ohio.I always learned funky butt spider as the common name, but it seems that the accepted common name is now Spined Micrathena.
