Rabbits can die from many causes, just as any other animal. For instance, the rabbits can die of old age, diseases, and neglect. In the wild, they can also die due to predators, including hunters.
I raise Mini Lops, not Dwarf Rabbits, but the cause of death is probably the same.
*The rabbit could die from age, (6 and up?)
* lack of food/water
*extreme weather
*shock, (transition to new cages or places, traveling, new experiences, fear,)
* It could be poisoned- a few years ago my rabbit chewed something on the floor and died a few days later
Hope this helps.
mine died of huge arteries. they are supposed to have them the size of pencil erasers and mine was the size of grapes. but other than disease old age and sickness
MoreA proper diet is essential. Guinea pigs need fresh water and hay, along with other plant matter like green beans, carrots, etc. They can have small amounts of fruit like strawberries and citrus because like humans they need vitamin C to stay healthy.Be careful to use timothy hay rather than alfalfa. Alfalfa has been shown to aggravate kidney problems, which are almost always fatal.
Most pet rabbits die from old age and putting to sleep. Breeders breed so many rabbits a year that most will get put down and exterminated! Please adopt a rabbit! Do not buy one.
It varies greatly depending on whether or not the rabbit was exposed to the outdoors or not. Indoor rabbits often die from being over fed, underfed, stored in areas too warm or too cold, or due to being caged up for too long. A rabbits diet should contain a wide variety of fresh food and food pellets should be avoided unless recommended by a doctor. They can also die because they have nothing to do. Disease and infection
is not out of the question for indoor rabbits but it is less likely compared to an outdoor rabbit.
Outdoor rabbits often die from disease and infection, most often spread by ticks and parasites, malnutrition and other sick rabbits. Dogs, foxes and cats also enjoy attacking and/or eating rabbits (especially babies), which clearly will kill a rabbit.
Old age, cancer, snuffles, pneumonia, entrotoxemia, VHD, enteritis, tyzzer's disease, or injury just to name a few.
being eaten by predators, age, health, surrondings or adaptations
There are many diseases that can kill rabbits. Myxomatosis and RHD are two such examples. See the related question (linked below) for more information about rabbit illnesses.
any dwarf rabbits such as norwegian dwarf, netherland dwarf, dwarf lop, dutch are slightly larger but smaller than medium sized rabbits, polish rabbits. dont think about... flemish giants, giant rexes. remember there are always exceptions to the rule (meaning that my friends dwarf rabbit is HUGE) and all rabbits are small and cute as babies so think about an adult rabbit (a shelter is a great place to find a loveable bunny in need)
Dwarf rabbits, like all rabbits can have heart attacks when their arteies are clogged with too much fat or when you scare them without them knowing!
Dwarf rabbits eat the same things all pet rabbits do, including dark lettuces and leafy greens.
Dwarf rabbits eat the same foods as other pet rabbits. See the related questions (linked below) for more details and helpful links.
because they are so short and the tall rabbits make fun of them :)
Well, like most rabbits Netherland dwarfs can be scared into a heart attack. that is why they should be kept inside. many rabbits get heart attacks because of aggressive barking of dogs, aggressive cats, or sudden very loud noises like fireworks.
dwarf lop rabbits are very small
Dwarf female rabbits
They were first spotted in the Netherlands. They still live there and breeders are making new Dwarf rabbits!

Dwarf rabbits come in many colors i have some and they are blackish brown. They can also come in other colors like light brown chocolate brown and gray. There are also dwarf but they might not be the rabbits that you are looking for. They are called dwarf hot-tots and they are white with black around their eyes (pretty cute.)
Use alfalfa hay, or anything you know your dwarf rabbit likes.
