Answer
If the hamster is sleeping in a tube, and she wees in the tube, then it may cause the pee to stick to the hair on the bum and can cause mild hair loss. If this is the case, remove the tube and let the hamster create a bed elsewhere.
its getting old :L
You can put special vitamins in the water but it may not help with the hair loss.
Check your hamsters food. It doesn't matter where you get the food, how you get the food your food could have weevils. The weevils go inside the cage when you put food in there and cause irritation. Put your hamster food in the freezer to prevent this. OR, It probably has mites. My hamster had mites, and she was losing fur on her back. We were wondering if we should take it to a vet, but she ended up healing by herself and is now perfectly fine. I'm not saying this is what you should do, because your hamster might not heal by itself; she might get worse. If she loses more hair, and still doesn't seem to be getting any better, I'd suggest bringing it to a vet. I hope your hamster gets better soon!
I have a teddy bear hamster that is a male. You can tell the gender by looking at the under side a your hamster, then if your hamster has two testicles (it looks like a little butt) is a male if not it is a female.
I don't know how you mean losing hair, if sheding is what your talking about, I'm not sure if the hamster might be sick or not, but if it is coming out in clumps and/or leaving red patches or irritated skin then I'd take Mr. Hamster directly to a vet. ASAP It could be something simple but I've found from my own experience, if someting is moving quickly with your animal, you need to move quickly.
No, they do very well the way they are.
Your hamster is getting old! :(
If a hamster loses its hair, it usually means it has mites, but it could be something else.
Keep your head out of it.
I had a hamster who used to chew at the bars of his cage and this rubbed the hair away from around his noes. it started to grow back but then he started chewing again so we were back at square one. But for the period of time he was not chewing it started to come back so I would say it depends on the cause of the hair loss.
If your hamster has hair loss this could be a symptom of a disease or parasites.
that will proberly be a Syrian Hamster or the Golden Hamster.
