Our dog has a severe abscess and will not eat or drink because of pain. The vet did surgery and used hydromorphone during the surgery (dilodid) and then put a fentanyl patch on her for extended pain relief. SOME anti-inflamm stories are safe for dogs, but you must check. Narcotics are used by vets and anyone who says "no human medicine's can be used", is simply wrong. Oxycodone can be used but Not if its mixed with Tylenol (ie., Percocet) and only carefully with Percodan (which combines oxycodone with aspirin).
For chronic pain our older dogs get Tramadol or aspirin, but aspirin requires food with it.
Note that human dosages do not always translate by weight, as dogs metabolize differently.
Consult your vet, but if your pet is in severe pain, speak up for them. There are options.
A pug dog has a black mask. If it is an all black pug dog you cannot tell, but on a fawn-colored pug dog you can. The pug has a black marking that goes around its mouth and eyes, which is often called a mask.
It is not recommended for your dog to lick you inside your mouth. Dog saliva can contain bacteria that can be harmful if ingested. It's best to avoid letting your dog lick inside your mouth for hygiene and health reasons.
Messages travel from the dog's eyes to their brain.
No, it can harm them if it gets in their eyes, or if they swallow it, but a little would not hurt them, only give them a bad taste.
If this only lasted for like 15 minutes at most, he could have just ate dirt or something. Was he just outside, is that a possible answer?? If this lasts for very long, GO TO A VETERNARIAN IMMEDIATELY!!!! DO NOT TAKE ANY CHANCES. I'M SURE YOU LOVE YOUR DOG. IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT HE COULD BE SICK. I hope you make the right decision.
