I believe dogs do sense death or some sort of end for their dog friends. I just put down my one older lab this Saturday and for about 2 days before I did my other lab just kept coming up to me constantly and I kept thinking he had to go out because he had diareaha lately. When I took my dog to the emergency room and found she had a cancerouse tumor in her spleen and other parts and decided to put her down that night my dog was waiting for me at home and I gave him her leash and collar and he sniffed and then went and laid down.
