External features
1.The body is divided into head, trunk, tail.with tail being the largest portion of the body.
2.The body is covered by scales & even osteoderms in case of crocodiles, this is a evolutionary change to conserve body fluids like the water from evaporating.
3.All reptiles are slender, with elongated body.
4.They shed their skin in complete or bits.
5.Overlapping scales which eventually become hard .
6.Most of the reptiles slither on ground with 4 limbs belly facing towards the ventral side.
7.Most of the reptiles the brood pouch or the egg fertilization region is present in the preanal segment.
8.Eggs are leathery one of the important feature this is to protect eggs from harsh conditions like fluds too.
9.Reptiles are oviviparus but some of the snakes, few lizards are viviparus.
Internal features
1.Reptile have partial 3 chambered heart with 2 ventricles 1 atria, but crocodiles have 4 chambered heart like the mammals.
2.All reptiles are uricotelic which means they excreat uric acid unlike mammals which excreat urea & called ureotellic.
3.Excreation of uric acid is to minimise the water loss.
Sharks are not amphibians, mammals, or reptiles. They are a type of fish known as cartilaginous fish, as their skeletons are made of cartilage instead of bone.
a clam is a crustacean
Fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals are all vertebrates. They all have a backbone and internal bones.
The five classes of vertebrates (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals) evolved in the following order: fish appeared first, followed by amphibians, then reptiles, birds, and finally mammals. Each class adapted and diversified to exploit different environments and ecological niches over millions of years.
Fish, amphibians, reptiles (not turtles as they don´t have teeth).
reptiles and amphibians have the most in common
Fish, and then amphibians, and then reptiles, and then mammals
Fish, reptiles, and amphibians, originated in that order during the Paleozoic era.
The three Vertebrate groups that have the same temperature as their surroundings are Fish, Reptiles, and Amphibians. That means they are all cold blooded.
No there is a group call F.A.R (fishes, amphibians, and reptiles). Fishes belong in the fish group and amphibians are double life lives in water and land. Reptiles are Alligators.
Sharks are not amphibians, mammals, or reptiles. They are a type of fish known as cartilaginous fish, as their skeletons are made of cartilage instead of bone.
No. Reptiles and amphibians are two different orders and animals and amphibians cam first. Simply put, the first amphibians evolved from fish and the first reptiles evolved from amphibians.
1:fish 2: amphibians 3: reptiles 4: birds 5: mammals
They are all vertebrates, and the reptiles and amphibians belong to the tetrapods because they have four legs.
Fish - amphibians - reptiles; and from the reptiles birds and mammals.
All turtles are reptiles.
It is actually a mammal.
