Strange question. Wonder where you got this idea from? Anyways, pets do strange things with dead animals, usually it depends on the pet. I have seen pets roll on dead carcases of birds and rats and some some even pick at it or eat it. Then there are the pets that we have to love, they just leave the dead thing alone, some will only give it a sniff then leave it be. I have also seen dogs and cats bury a dead bird or a rat they found, I think they were trying to hide it for later snack time. For an pet at home, they would bury it in their own bed or their owners bed. Any were they think their snack will be safest at.
Well, I hope this helped and it was the answer you were looking for.

A pet is loved, has a home, a family and a name, gets fed and watered regularly, a pet is happy, a stray has none of these. A stray may have been born a stray or kicked out of a once loving home, or jusy wandered a little too far from home and got lost.

Some do. They might invite pet therapy groups to visit to allow their pets to visit with residents, or they might have one or more facility pets that residents care for.
Technically they are domesticated animals that do not live in a human home. However, they can be pets, many people have cattle for pets, some that do not want to kill a cow with physical or reproductive problems, or animals that are used in shows often bond with the owner. These animals may still be used for breeding purposes if they are pets but usually are not slaughtered or sold.
