What do tigers and cheetahs eat in common?

Cheetahs and pumas are both large predators that are big cats and they both use stealth to sneak up on their prey. This is where the similarities end though. The cheetah lives in the African Savannah and has a smaller, slimmer build that is built for speed. It has a yellow-gold coloring covered in rosettes (spots). After stalking its prey it uses a burst of speed to bring it down and often take the kill up a tree to keep other predators from getting it. The puma or cougar is common in the United States is a little larger. It's coloring can be anywhere from a golden color to black. It uses a surprise attack that often the prey doesn't see until its too late to run. Though they do not usually take a kill up a tree they will bury it in leaves to hide it so they can come back to it later.
