There's no technical term for it. It's simply a dog fosterer.

Intrestingly the first dog shows didnt have many docked dogs, in English dog shows ear cropping was not allowed for years keeping many american's from competing. Most people now see the pointless cruel nature of docking and in the future more natural dogs will be making their way into American dog shows

The reason dogs want there belly's rubbed is because it shows them you love them and you trust and care for them. However if you don't rub your dogs belly they might think other wise like they don't love me or care for me.
It was a 'MUTT' variety. Shows often picked up shelter dogs. And when several/same versions were needed due to extended years on television, they would put out the call to many who had similar dogs. Again, most having the MUTT quality. The kind of dog every one loved. A mix of character.
